Yoga. What is it really? For sure it’s trending. It’s on instagrams, blogs, and has a media presence. There’s music, clothing, and accessories. We know its physical; most of us have heard of HOT yoga. We know its spiritual; most of us have seen the prayer hands. Interestingly enough, yoga IS all of THIS. All the above, all the non listed, and the very essence of everything. Yoga is what you make it. For some, it’s pants. For others, it’s a physical practice or a spiritual pracitce, and for some, it’s both. And for the rare few who take it all in and embody it – yoga just IS. Take what you want from yoga. Use it. Love it. Come back for more and try that. It’s a beautiful thing; I promise it can offer anyone a little something.
However, I know just how hard it is to start the YOGA. Getting on your mat is half the battle and some days (at least for me) it’s the whole battle. Getting to a class can be tough. I’m hoping that by stopping in here you can see that yoga is so much more than what you can do in a studio. Here I’ll offer you readings, practices, and, yes, ASANA to bring yoga to you. I’ll post weekly asana (physical postures) videos for you to follow from the convenience of your home. And hopefully introduce you to the word of yoga that you can take with you off the mat and into your everyday life.
Yoga is all the things. Scroll up and click ‘Namaste’ to step into my world of yoga. Namaste: it’s used a lot. For those of you wondering what it means, it’s rather simple, yet profound. It means that the divine light that resides in me, sees and honors the divine light that resides in you, as I see and honor myself.
Namaste.
